We are a genuine Dunkirk Little Ship for discerning passengers interested in wild life and history. we are moored at PLUCKS GUTTER Kent.
Back in 1940 as part of Operation Dynamo, Ferry Nymph travelled from Ramsgate to Normandy to rescue our British troops and help board some of the French soldiers. The boat took 70 passengers on the first trip and 90 on the second trip, all amidst being under fire while bombs were being dropped.
In 1985, Ferry Nymph joined the Little Ships fleet. In 1994, more than 50 years after this boat's noble journey, it sank due to rough weather. However, fortunately, the boat was saved by Dunkirk Little Ships Association.
Fast-forward to today and the Dunkirk veteran, Ferry Nymph, acts as a luxury cruising boat with a rich history. Licensed for up to 12 passengers, this trusted boat will be found this year at Pluck's Gutter doing its duty. Sailed by Captain Colin, who has 50 years' experience, you can relax and enjoy being transported through our lovely Kentish countryside on River Stour to the Roman Fort and to the seals at the river estuary. We also go beaver spotting. Look forward to escapism and perfection for 2.5 hours.

"We had a lovely 2hr trip from Sandwich, saw 38 seals which was fantastic. Captain Colin's commentary was very interesting, telling us about the history of the area as well as pointing out and naming the various birds we saw. Very good value for money, I would highly recommend the Sandwich river bus to everyone."
